During the year in gym class I have heard two girls discussing another girls sexual life and how she needed to have an abortion. Normally I have no care for what these girls say, but today was different. I am adopted and very opinionated on abortion. If you don't want to hear me vent about this then please leave but if you care to know my opinion then please continue...maybe, it will open your eyes....

How can you live with yourself if you know that you WILLINGLY took another life, however small it is a life...I wonder, if it ever crosses a girls mind when she is considering having sex that there are consequences such as std and...PREGNANCY!!!!!! If you ask me if you have sex, you should live with your consequences to an extent... now this extent i am talking about would be, if you get pregnant, you should have to carry the baby, but when it cones time for it to be born, you should have to give it up for adoption....Many of us don't think about this, but there are women out there who are unable to have children. Couples stand in line at adoption agencies for HOURS just to get there name on a LIST...this list doesn't even guarantee them a child....how can you take that away from some one... Sometimes the people who are adopted turn out to be some of the most influential people in the world for example some famous Adoptees are:
Eleanor Roosevelt, Faith Hill, John Lennon, Nat King Cole, Nancy Regan, Tim McGraw
Maybe when we all stop and think about the consquences of our actions, slowly we can help the world become a better place.

i think if a baby is unwanted why bbother destroyin your and the baby life with having it born.
You have a good point; but what if a girl is raped and becomes pregnent? Should she have to live with someone like that's baby inside her? Should we force her to go through that trauma further? What if she is only 8 years old?
All though I am not a fan myself of abortion, i disagree with your points.
Clearly you have not gone through the trauma of being a pregnant teenager. As people we have to think of our well being and future, having a baby at such a young age can really screw things over eg. getting behind in school work.
You did mention abortion and how that can be an opurtunity for teenagers to get their lives back. All though this is true, the actual pregnancy is gruelling and can push people away that you hold dear.
Sometimes when a teenager is having sex they are having SAFE sex. But this doesn't mean that the condom won't split or slip off. It's not the girls fault and she was being safe.
Besides who are you to judge someone on an experience you yourself have not experienced? You are stereotyping girls who have undergone this procedure and taking away their voice and identity which is what you are trying to promote on this site (people standing up for themselves).
please become more educated in such heavy topics before you rant about them on the internet.
